Dr. Saikat Kar is a distinguished Medical Doctor (MBBS, AGMC), Clinical Researcher (GCSRT, Harvard University, USA), and Neuroscientist with a Masters by Research (MRes) in Neuroscience from Edinburgh University, UK. Currently, he serves as a Clinical Neuroscientist on the prestigious EU Brain Project, contributing to groundbreaking neurological research. Recognized for his exceptional contributions, Dr. Kar is the only doctor from Tripura to be inducted into the Royal Society of Biology in London. He is also an esteemed member of the Global Clinical Practice Network (WHO), the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS), and the British Neuroscience Association (BNA).
Dr. Kar’s academic journey is complemented by his prolific output as an author and researcher, with numerous books and over 10 international research papers to his credit in the fields of Biology and Medicine. His unwavering dedication to education led him to establish "Dr. SK’s Biology Classes" in 2014, during his time in medical school. This initiative has become a cornerstone of academic success, empowering more than 1,000 students to excel in state and national medical entrance exams, including the NEET (UG).
Under Dr. Kar’s mentorship, students have achieved extraordinary milestones, such as two students scoring a perfect 360 out of 360 in Biology on the NEET—the first time this feat was accomplished in Tripura. Additionally, over ten of his mentees have secured admission into AIIMS, including AIIMS New Delhi.
